SHELLED and SHOCKED

Just before the ICC 2011 World Cup started, M S Dhoni had announced with a cutely 'high' smile --- "let's win the Cup for Sachin,since it is most probably his last....".

I guess it is "duty as usual" for Sachin to take a bow and modestly declare (with a dry and wry smile) --- "oh don't take the trouble, let ME win the cup for you guys.. for a change?!!"

Amongst all the clatter and clamour which can be habitually expected not to last long at all, I guess it would be prudent, Not(please) to make M S Dhoni the fall guy. There are a couple of over-fed blokes in the Indian Team who are already 'fallen' real big-time.

And when it comes to the 'last over' decision of his, seemingly being made into an act of blasphemy and sadly so --- whom does he turn to or afford to take a fancy chance on ? If a lead bowler of a national team cannot hold forte to defend the vanity, honour and modesty of Thirteen Holy Runs from being outraged in the final over, in a big match, in an event which is held every four,rather longish years and comprises of a rather finitely small number of matches, I guess he( and his 'fallen' likes )should be pulled back and down, without any fancy floral courtesy, to ground zero reality with deftly unflattering ruthlessness..

But then, aren't we supposed to be 'Soft'?
